Drinking a matcha latte is the most common way to enjoy matcha, but I have taken things to the next matcha level. I can find a way to incorporate matcha in almost every recipe. Continue reading to see my favorites.
Matcha Covered Strawberries
These matcha covered strawberries were absolutely amazing, and extremely easy to make. To make the matcha chocolate I simply melt white chocolate, add matcha powder, and combine the two until the matcha is fully incorporated. From there it is your typical chocolate covered strawberry!
Mug Cake
Mug cakes made their mark on social media a couple years ago with the rise of Facebook cooking videos. You can take ANY mug cake recipe from the internet and add matcha powder. I like to add white chocolate chips and vanilla ice cream to mine.
Cupcakes
Cupcakes are another great way to add matcha to your classic recipes. You can sprinkle some matcha powder into your cupcake batter, or add matcha powder to your cupcake frosting. Either way your cupcakes are going to WOW fellow matcha lovers.
Butter
Matcha butter is the most unique recipe I came across when looking for new ways to add matcha into my everyday foods. Simply melt butter and add matcha powder! You can drizzle melted matcha butter on anything, or put it into the refrigerator to allow the matcha butter to harden.
Waffles
My family has a waffle maker at home which has been a game changer. Chicken and waffles is one of my favorite dinners that my mom makes. One night I decided to get creative and add matcha powder to my blueberry waffle and It was INCREDIBLE.
Ice Cream
Vanilla ice cream is matcha powder’s best friend. You can sprinkle a little powder on top for a kick of flavor, or blend vanilla ice cream and matcha powder together for matcha ice cream.
Chia Seed Pudding
Matcha chia seed pudding is the healthiest of all these recipes (can you tell I have a sweet tooth?). I will attach the recipe I used below, but this is a great way to get not only your matcha fix but all the health benefits from chia seeds. This pudding is even better when topped with fresh fruit.
